Bright Lonely Day - Bo Kravchenko
What better way to inspire tranquility and soothe your senses than a walk at the beach? In my sea-inspired paintings, I try to capture the color, light, and atmosphere of beach days that we all want to keep in our memories. Either it’s a nostalgic seascape, a subtle splash of color, or a whimsical figure of a lifeguard stand, left there as a lonely monk on duty…
There’s nothing like a sunny day on the beach, especially when you know that there are dark days... In a series of my paintings, by using modern glitches, sudden stripes, and strokes, I want to stress on fragile nature of life to remind all of us that it needs to be appreciated and protected. In my artworks, I like to crop landscapes and zoom in on details, use textured surfaces, and bold swatches of paint, and find new modern shades and light compositions to entice the viewer, with the hope that he will think of his sunny days sometimes and smile
