Pegasus - Helga Stentzel

Pegasus - Helga Stentzel

There is freedom waiting for you on the breezes of the sky, and each time you cautiously ask 'What if I fall?', let the echo return with a reassuring 'But what if you fly?' With these words on your lips, you can taste the essence of Pegasus. Our black beauty is more than a gentle giant, he’s a magical, winged soul who will whisk you to your daydream destination! He glides around the globe, inspiring artists and lifting spirits. An ethereal equus, Pegasus shows us that a state of wonder can be both illusionary and tactile. Hold on to his groomed mane and let him lead the way!

Smooothie - Helga Stentzel

Smooothie - Helga Stentzel

Does chocolate milk come from chocolate cows? Smooothie, our bovine friend, has loads of secrets up her velvety sleeves! Her delicate pink nose just knows where the best grass grows. She's the kind of soul mate you’d love to spend time with-- smooth, wise and oh, so sweet! Not one for endless chatting, she will happily relax with you and let you be you. Smooothie chooses not to be fenced in, but to savour life in the crisp mountain air, because... Well, life is free and so is she!

Hang on! - Helga Stentzel

Hang on! - Helga Stentzel

This polar bear used to be at the top of the Arctic food chain, but now even she has a predator - climate change. She is a mother and a fighter, wrapping her furry arms around her precious cubs, and hanging onto her beloved homeland as it slowly melts away. She is adapting and she won't give in, even if her world changes so fast. Maybe we can adapt too? Plant a tree, cycle to work, donate to charity. It's just an ice way to help!

Laundrosaurus - Helga Stentzel

Laundrosaurus - Helga Stentzel

This artwork is actually a manual on how to become a paleontologist: Step 1: Buy a pair of shorts, a pair of tights and loads of socks - all in white. Step 2: Wash all items from Step 1 Step 3: Arrange all items on a clothing line in the shape of the dinosaur of your choice. Step 4: Come up with a name for your newly discovered species. Step 5: Repeat steps 3 - 5 as many times as you want

Baa-Baa-Ra - Helga Stentzel

Baa-Baa-Ra - Helga Stentzel

It's never easy to be the odd one out, but Baa-Baa-Ra is well-suited for the job. There is so much warmth in her heart that she is happy to give a fuzzy cuddle to anyone who feels like a black sheep in their community.

Inky - Helga Stentzel

Inky - Helga Stentzel

If a black cat crosses your route, it is bad luck - this is what Inky learned from people when she was still a little kitten. Concerned about her own safety, she learned how to camouflage herself. Her favourite trick is to pretend to be a pair of knickers, a pair of tights and a sock drying on a clothesline. She nailed it - don't you think? ;)

Zelda - Helga Stentzel

Zelda - Helga Stentzel

Zelda the Zebra is here to remind you that life is nothing but a striped pattern. If you find yourself going through a dark time, simply remind yourself that better days are just a step away! If you are having a good time though, don't worry about the darkness lying ahead of you - simply change direction and start walking along the white stripe rather than across it.

Bookworm - Helga Stentzel

Bookworm - Helga Stentzel

Time flies when you’re having fun, but it disappears in a good read! This warm and cuddly cub promises to make your book adventures come to life, and keep you cosy on your journey. Take time to curl up and craft your own chapter!

Happy Home - Helga Stentzel

Happy Home - Helga Stentzel

What makes a happy home: new doormat, shiny silverware or a mouthwatering smell of freshly baked bread? All of that of course, and also the thought of the lockdown coming to an end. After months of hosting zoom calls, accommodating home-schooling and witnessing occasional nervous breakdowns of its dwellers, our homes desperately need some peace and quiet. And they are not asking too much: just a few hours a day their long-awaited 'me-time', free to clang, creak and rumble as they please.

Make Apparel Great Again! Yes, you too can wash with confidence that your dirty laundry will come clean after just one (election) cycle.

Peace - Helga Stentzel

Peace - Helga Stentzel

I like giving my artworks funky creative names, but this time only one name seems to be right: Peace. Peace between countries, between people and between different parts of our own personalities that fight brutal battles in our heads and souls.

Lighten the Load - Helga Stentzel

Lighten the Load - Helga Stentzel

Sometimes life is a chore. Why not put a fun spin on things to lighten the load? Searching for everyday joys such as that fresh laundry scent (or finding socks that match!) can be just the ticket to a whimsical workday!

Brad Pet - Helga Stentzel

Brad Pet - Helga Stentzel

Meet Brad Pet - the ultimate comfort dog. He loves to alternate his naps by the radiator with trips to the fridge - both while binge watching The Great British Bake-off. Brad will be great in the bedroom (to fetch your slippers), in the kitchen (to lick the floor clean from leftovers) or in the corridor (to guard your house). Woof-woof!

Byte-sized - Helga Stentzel

Byte-sized - Helga Stentzel

Nom nom nom... Anyone else eating up their day with mindless web wanderings? Byte-sized junk food can trick us into ingesting empty word calories. Here's a reminder to save your clicks for the best picks ;)

Crunchie - Helga Stentzel

Crunchie - Helga Stentzel

Lettuce introduce you to Crunchie - the lean, mean, green fitness machine. Don't be deceived by his cute appearance: he’s a part-time dog athlete, so expect him to start training you and not the other way round. Before you know it Crunchie will have you doing your own crunches – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Ruff ruff ruff!

My Kind of Grapes - Helga Stentzel

My Kind of Grapes - Helga Stentzel

Yes, it is official. Happiness does, indeed, grow on trees! Sometimes in life we may not see the sweetness that blooms in our own backyard, but it’s there. Look closely at the fruits of your labours, and you may see something surprisingly delightful. Carpe Diem! (Wine not?)

Perfect Fit - Helga Stentzel

Perfect Fit - Helga Stentzel

Sometimes it looks as though we fit in, but secretly, is it a bit of a crush? If we wedge ourselves into a perfect spot, then we often lego of our individuality. But do we have to? Or can we stand out without breaking loose?

The Real Eggplant - Helga Stentzel

The Real Eggplant - Helga Stentzel

Which came first - the chicken or the eggplant? Any way you slice it, the food we put in our mouths got pretty far from how the nature intended it to be. We built factories with living creatures as mere cogs - but maybe one day we will just grow what we need, eggs included.

Toaster - Helga Stentzel

Toaster - Helga Stentzel

No one likes a burnt toast for breakfast, so here's my solution: quick, reliable and energy-efficient ;)

Stay Home - Helga Stentzel

Stay Home - Helga Stentzel

I've always been a huge fan of London Underground. Its history, the role it played in the life of Londoners during the Second World War, the mysteries of abandoned stations - those stories of the past have always interested me. The Underground's present is fascinating in a different way: its functionality, design and dedication to art inspire me on a daily basis, and this artwork was my way to support Transport for London during the pandemic.
