Roberto González fundamentally is a painter, but has also worked with photography and digital formats, although to a lesser extent. His painting is of great formal realism, although the theme incorporates protest content, ironic or dreamlike, with a base on which the figure of the human body is usually present. The homosexuality and treatment of the homoeroticism are also key to his work. His career is very prolific and he has made many individual exhibitions, as well as collective ones. His first exhibition was in 1967 , in the Coruña Gallery Arts. Many of these exhibitions took place in Scotland and the United Kingdom, where he exhibits annually, and others in various cities in Spain. In November 2008, he made an anthological exhibition in Ferrol, with some 300 works throughout his career as a creator.
