Artist Statement
My paintings celebrate the differences of people, cultures and creeds. The paintings focus on dismantling stereotypes of our multicultural society. I attempt to tell the human side of the unique people in our country with respect.
Artist's History
Growing up in a small town in Middle of the United States, My first serious paintings were of the First Americans and cowboys living in the western United States. In my midlife I became aware of the vanishing way of life that I grew up with. I started to paint my small-town neighbors and the rural farmers from my childhood before their lifestyles were gone. These paintings inspired my first first museum exhibit called Rural Roots. The paintings were viewed in art museums in the mid-west in the 1980's. Then in I988, I proposed an artist exchange with the Soviet Union without the official sanction of the U.S. State Department. I traveled with my paintings to the Soviet Union the following year to exhibit at the Stavropol Exhibition Hall hosted by the Union of Soviet Socialists Artists. In 1990, I reciprocated and hosted Alexei Sokolenko, the first and only Soviet painter allowed to visit and exhibit his art in America before the fall of communism. I returned to Russia in the early 1990's with another series titled, Streets. These paintings portray people living the city life. After the Streets opening reception at the Stavropol Territory Museum of Art and during the three years my paintings were shown at other locations in Russia, I moved to a Benedictine monastery dedicated to serving the Native American people For two years as artist in residence I worked on a series about the Dakota tribe of the legendary Sioux First Nation. Living the cloister life with monks produced another series about their world called Black Robes. The monks giving lifestyle instilled in me the belief that I should continue to create art that gives. In the late 1990's, I moved to St. Martin in the West Indies to research and paint the different nationalities living in the Caribbean islands. In 2005 I moved to Maui in the Hawaiian islands to create a series about the unique people that live on the beautiful islands of the Pacific.

Twelve original paintings created by street artist Roy E. Burgess are for sale. The paintings are from my "Rural Roots" and "Streets" solo museum exhibits. The pastels were viewed in art museums in mid America and the former Soviet Union. The original pastels were created at the height of my painting career about twenty-five years ago. During this period I was developing my social realism paintings that explored issues that America was facing in the 1980's and 90's. At this time I developed and implemented an historic artist exchange with the Stavropol Territorial Museum of Art and the Union of Soviet Socialist Artists Gallery in Stavropol, Russia. This is a great opportunity for people to purchase a museum exhibited painting directly from the artist and become part of the history (provenance) of the original artwork. Sergei Rusakoff

Evgenia Luxenburg’s drafting and painting methods are grounded in classical formulae. She works in dry brush style using a dappled technique of lying different colored marks of paint side by side and by glazing with thin translucent layers of single color one on top of the other. Through the decades, she has maintained allegiance to water-based media and has invented unusual methods of applying absorbent compound on top of gessoed layers and in mixing acrylic and water-color paint with a granulating medium. In all compositions, she strives for tight details and precision on the main subject elements and uses an airbrush when suggesting the background.
Theme
Luxenburg describes her figures interacting with water or condensation on glass as a symbolic expression, a metaphor for a fatigued emotional state, a sense of alienation and the process of cleansing disturbing emotions. She describes her models as the vessels who carry her projected emotions. Most of Luxenburg’s series’ portray her moods and the psychological phases relating to the challenging periods in her life.

On Landscape
Geurgevich prefers large landscape oils. He believes that it is important to keep things fresh and stay flexible, still occasionally changing the subject matter, size and media. He plans elaborate expeditions, camping for weeks in European national parks where he makes thousands of photos and later slowly selects 2-3 most significant ones in his studio. Then he combines these with field studies, memories, impressions, to create a work of art, a living, breathing ecosystem.

Master of Artistic Wooden Sculptures
Christian Verginer is considered one of the most valid and original expressionists in contemporary sculpture carvings. The subject chosen by the sculptor is the human figure, or rather, the human figure in its relations with other forms of life, with animals, trees, or with various objects of the world and nature. The material used is limetree wood, which is left smooth and covered in details by brilliant and unexpectedly applied acrylic paint. With respect to the long and high tradition of the Dolomites, Verginer remains loyal to the skill and precision of the centuries-old 'Dolomite tradition' of wood-carving by hand, while introducing modern, new and personal subject matter. The artist explores the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, where tradition and innovation, truth and fantasy come together in a realistic language. The artist has a deep affection for plants and trees and in many of his sculptures, the human is depicted as protecting or nurturing nature, caught in the moment of wonder, when a slight sadness overshadows youth. Childhood, curiosity, and connection come together in every one of this artists' whimsical wooden pieces. Through his art, Christian Verginer explores childhood curiosity and connection. His artistic language combine the play and wonder of adolescence with the vitality of the natural world. His artistic vocabulary has always been orbiting around the relationship between man and nature as a non-static on-going theme, which he believes will follow him throughout his career.

The Swedish artists outlook on life is thereby converted into colors, contrasts and negative space. Artist statement
When many photographers try to get as much as possible into the frame, I do the opposite and try to get as much as possible out of the frame instead, that is quite challenging sometimes. I normally work with negative spaces, vivid colors where lines, shadows and windows often are deviations that track attention. Many people have told me that they find my art calming and tranquil, some of them with ADHD etc, and I really like that my works can contribute to calm the mind. Enjoy ! Marcus Cederberg

Energy through human motion
Dance, air and water influence my work. From dancers I take the beautiful mobility of their bodies, from air, its provoking rhythmic motion and from water, its captivating deconstructed reflections. I know a piece is completed when I close my eyes and feel its rhythm of dance, water and air singing in harmony.
