Olsen was born and raised in France in the Paris region. Before coming to sculpture, he worked for several years in the animation film industry. His sculptures largely represent humans and/but especially animals. He is fascinated by their plastic and has fun from time to time giving them moods and very human expressions. Olsen is a fervent admirer of Rembrandt Bugatti, Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, Aimé- Jules Dalou, Franz Xaver Messerschmidt and Antoine Barye.
