Techniques
Rubió is a painter who dominates his technique and works "by the old way ", with a great sense of balance and harmony. Its pictorial, smooth and flexible style, is the gentleness of the colors that allow him to translate on the canvas their idealistic vision of the outer world. The painting by small brushstrokes allows him to obtain clarified and smooth models approaching the visual reality of romanticism.
Artist's Statement
" It is important that the artist has a good academy and a good trade because I do not believe in artists who have to defend their work with important rhetoric, based on talented critics. Art has to communicate, not to communicate the meaning and purposes of oneself and his work. I prefer the good formal art and the one that enters by sight and the senes to the explanatory scheme of pedantic rhetoric full of semiotics"
